DGTEC Launches Media Campaign
Steve Mannion, General Manager Sales and Marketing, has announced DGTEC’s latest advertising campaign.
Between 2010 and 2013, the current analog system will be turned off. It is estimated that up to 20 million AV devices (Televisions and VCRs) will need to be converted to a digital signal. When the analog system is switched off, anyone without a digital receiving device will be unable to watch free to air television.
“DGTEC is uniquely placed in the Australian market,” said Steve. “We sell a range set-top boxes, PVRs and Integrated LCD Televisions. We were in fact the first to bring the High Definition digital set top box to Australia.”
The strategy will be an integrated radio and outdoors campaign. “Radio and outdoor advertising is a proven method to promote a brand while also building awareness over a period of time” said Steve.
The 3x30 second spots will run will run on 2WSFM in Sydney and Gold FM in Melbourne. They will be complemented by Bus back advertising that will run on strategic bus routes in Sydney and Melbourne. The buses will run along high traffic routes such as Victoria Road and Parramatta Road in Sydney.
This is an exciting time for consumers, and the advertising campaign will stimulate awareness for the need to upgrade to digital. DGTEC will continue to be the future of home entertainment.
