What's NEW?

Get Ready For Digital

The Australian Government has announced that analog free-to-air TV signals will gradually be phased out across the country between 2010 and 2013. They have established a Digital Switchover Taskforce to coordinate the transition to digital signals. To find out when each region is switching over, visit the Rollout Map at http://www.digitalready.gov.au/

A labelling scheme has been rolled out as part of the Digital Switchover Taskforce strategy to educate consumers buying consumer electronics products like TV’s, Set Top Boxes and Personal Video recorders (PVRs). The labelling scheme aims to clearly identify products as;

   Digital TV Ready Standard Definition

   Digital TV Ready High Definition

   Digital TV Capable Only with a Set Top Box

We are pleased to announce that we are part of the Digital Labelling Scheme. Our current range of products is labelled with a Digital TV Ready High Definition sticker.

    Digital Radio

The radio industry recently announced that the national switch-on for digital radio will commence 1st May 2009.

Digital radio is free to air – no subscription fees or signing up is required, all you need is a new digital radio receiver and just tune in. Go to the website http://www.digitalradioplus.com.au/ and type in your postcode to see if you live in an area where you can receive digital radio.

This free-to-air digital radio will allow radio broadcasters to provide additional audio channels, superior quality sound, pause and rewind facility plus a new visual aspect to radio with the introduction of scrolling news, sport and weather text and the ability to transmit a picture of a radio host or band, the cover of a CD or an animated logo on screen.

The following city are expected to receive Digital radio services from the dates below:

Perth - 4 May, Melbourne - 11 May, Adelaide - 20 May, Brisbane - 25 May, Sydney - 30 May
